"Took part in this incredible all day workshop called #HiddenWarriors thanks to my friend Darrell Thorne. Hidden Warriors is an organization that empowers women with cancer and brings out the hidden warrior within you. A day of uplifting people and seminars, it's capped by a photo shoot where you wear a headpiece that you chose (all created by Darrell-if you ever need one made, he's the man!) and get made up/dressed to unleash your inner warrior goddess. I can be kind of a cynical person sometimes and hate being in front of the camera/being made up but I have to say it was a super powerful day with perfect timing as I've been down about the chemo side effects and the 7 weeks of radiation that's starting tomorrow. That's also probably the amount of time that it will take for me to get rid of the glitter on my face😊. I thank Darrell for introducing me to the awesome founder Marlene and her mom Mayra, the generous artists who donated their artistry and time and to the other 4 warriors that shared the day with me.
